AboutHetalia is a wonderful fandom for creativity- I know as well as anybody that one of the charms of the series is the sheer versatility of it and the variety in the fandom. However, sometimes it feels as though the dark, tragic side of things seems prevalent when all we want to do is make ourselves or someone else happy. Sometimes we need a break, and this comm is intended to be that place where happy, fluffy, or just plain funny fanworks are always welcome.
Greetings and welcome to Hetalia: The Bright Side, or hetalia_joy, a community dedicated to the happy, joyful, or just plain humorous fanworks of Hetalia. All varieties of fanworks are cool, just as long as the central themes and topics are happy or humorous.
THOSE LITTLE THINGS CALLED RULES!
1. No wank/douchebaggery/puppy kicking/being a jerk. There will be a zero tolerance policy for starting crap.
2. Rule 2 probably falls in the same catagory as 1. But, please people, no bashing of serious fanworks. It's understandable that it's not everyone's cuppa- which is part of the reason why I created this community- but no hating, please. Respect and courtesy are virtues...and if they aren't they should be.
3. Constructive criticism is welcome, however. For anyone unfamiliar with what that would sound like it would be something along the lines of "I like what you did here, here and HERE, but I think it was a little out of character for England to dress in drag like that. You may want to keep that in mind for the future, but that's just a suggestion".
4. In much the same way that the hetalia_sunshine exchange is dedicated to fluff, upbeat messages, things in the style of the original series. As a test to whether or not it can be posted, ask yourself whether or not it's something you would post for hetalia_sunshine.
5. That being said, dark!humor fics are also allowed. But they must be decidedly humor and you must warn for any material that could be problematic.
6. A little sadness as a side dish or a set up to a happy ending is perfectly acceptable, but don't lay it on too heavy.
7. Please provide appropriate rating and warnings for all fanworks. Remember that ALL MATURE MATERIAL MUST BE LOCKED TO THE COMMUNITY!
8. Use this format when posting fanworks.

I'm pretty chill about fanworks, and if you can justify your decisions as a creator and the fic somehow manages to leave me with a warm, fuzzy feeling then it's not a problem.
